Sylvie rocks!!!!!!!!!! I have been to “top salons” all over Toronto and I can honestly say, she’s the best. Cut, style color – magic! The salon itself is beautiful, exposed brick, barn board stations, original hardwood floors, decorated with a retro-chic mix of antiques and crystal. Highly recommend the Loft!

This little gem of a salon totally brings back the charm that has been lacking on Queen West, recently. To be fair, Sylvie has been my hair stylist for years now, and the girl is good. I mean REALLY good. so I am a little biased. When she told me she was opening her own salon, I was really excited, and of course, The Loft Toronto did not disappoint.

The Staff is great. Very relaxed and un-pretentious, while still professional – when I booked my appointment, there was a friendly girl on the phone that offered me exactly the time I wanted, and when I arrived, offered me fun little menu listing all the drinks and awesome pastries available.

My haircut, as always, was great and it seemed as if all the people around me were enjoying their experience too.

Not much more I can say about The Loft, except that really enjoy the vintage feel of the salon. Check it out!

I love the Loft and recommend it to anyone and everyone I know. Sylvie is an absolute expert stylist and has helped me with everything from drastic colour changes and corrections (my bad) to cutting edge cuts and beautiful updo’s. Finding a stylist that listens intently is so important and the entire team does that. Sylvie has been doing my hair for over 7 years!!!

I appreciate knowing that I am in the hands of a pro who is engaged in everything from fashion week to the highest vidal sasson training and project runway Canada! IT SHOWS!

I decided to try out the Loft’s new spa/esthetics services upon recommendation earlier this year. I don’t usually get facials when I’m visiting Toronto, but I’m truly glad I did. I was booked with Vee, and she did nothing short of turning my skin woes around. Her expertise and attention to my concerns basically made for the most long term beneficial results I could have never expected. Not only was my actual facial and time there completely relaxing and enjoyable, she had such a phenomenal grasp of their preferred product line (Dermalogica) that she had me on my way with a long term regime using the products she introduced me to. Months later and my skin is still reaping the results. Stopping in to see Vee is now part of every Toronto trip. Well worth it.

I got my hair cut by Desiree last month and let me tell you.. THE BEST HAIR CUT I HAVE EVER HAD! She’s the cutest little thing, friendly and oh so very talented! I would recommend her to everyone I know! I’ve always had issues with past stylists because they didn’t understand how to manage my lion mane of a head.

Now that I have found Desiree, I won’t be going to any other salon or stylist! Desiree is a junior stylist so her prices are cheaper than the other stylists. I was nervous at first because originally I wanted to see someone with a little more experience BUT like I said best hair cut I’ve ever had. She’s wonderful and no need to worry that she’s a junior. Anyone who is interested in trying out The Loft I would highly recommend that you book an appointment with Desiree because she’s just that AWESOME!

Service, style and skills: an alliteration that I’m happy to use when describing The Loft Toronto. All three are top notch and I’ll readily travel from Ottawa to hang with this team of gifted professionals led by salon owner, Kerastase Artist and all-around Dynamo, Sylvie Prud’Homme.

I’ll add another “S” to the mix: secret. A thrilling discovery I made during my second visit there was that the upper level of the salon currently houses an esthetics room where Vee, the best brow and waxing artist in the city, transformed my unruly brows and bikini-line into well-kept perfection. She is knowledgeable, conscientious and an unapologetic trend-setter who changes the faces and fur lines of beauty. She also just so happens to be a Dermalogica Expert AND founder of the natural body care line Live and Lather (both of which are sold in-salon.) Cheating on this triple-threat is out of the question and I highly recommend her products and services.

I’ve been shopping around for a new hair stylist/salon for a while now, and I think I may have found the place I’ve been looking for. I went in today for a pretty basic cut (long layers with side bangs). I booked online yesterday and they were able to accommodate me this morning, which is wonderful, on a Saturday no less! They took my coat and offered me something to drink when I got in. I quickly met Jesika, the junior stylist, and went off for a shampoo. Girl can rock a head massage like nobody’s business. She cut and dried my hair beautifully, was friendly but not overly-chatty, and the atmosphere around me was all-around pleasant and cheerful as a bridal party was getting done up at the same time. Everyone seemed to be happy with their results. The price was right, the decor just my style, and the staff was wonderful. I’ll be back!

I got a pretty bad haircut and was waiting for it to grow out, but was recommended by a friend to go see Makenna at the Loft. It was great. She knew exactly what to do to fix it. It’s taken me a while to find a regular place to get my haircut and I’m really glad I found Makenna. She gave me a really solid fade and a sharp part. Can’t recommend this place enough.
